    With IPEmotion 2017 R1, IPETRONIK offers an updated version of its measurement data logging software. The new release focuses on the further development of acoustics and online/offline vehicle bus analysis as well as on the integration of CAETEC hardware.

    Acoustics

    The acoustic module developed for testing the vehicle acoustics has been extended to include new evaluation functions such as root-mean-square value, peak-to-peak, dbB and dbC. Furthermore, new analysis operations allow the overall level to be calculated as well as the configuration of order analysis and filters with adjustable bandwidth. In addition, direct audio output is possible via the Campbell diagram. This allows users to listen to the recorded measurement data instantly, which in turn makes judgement of the quality and any further analyses possible.

    In the latest release 2016 R3 of its measurement data logging software IPEmotion, IPETRONIK has optimised the detail of a number of functions.     IPETRONIK has now made the IPEmotion release 2016 R2 available to download. The new version features a Profile Generator for configuring drive and brake profiles in addition to a new Profile Instrument for the visual display of the profiles. What is more, extended import functions for description files with information on the expected CPU load and ECU memory usage plus the checking for duplicate channel names render the import process even more efficient.     With the IPElog2, IPETRONIK is presenting a high-performance data logger for test applications in the automotive and commercial vehicle sector, especially for efficient fleet management. The new data logger is designed around the basic concept and enclosure of the successful IPElog data logger, but has been further advanced in many details.     For the data logger M-LOG V3, IPETRONIK is offering the new communication module COMgate V3 for wireless data transmission in accordance with 4G and LTE standards. The hardware system is complemented by the IPEcloud web portal, which supports high-speed and secure remote data transmission through to smart fleet management.

    The M-LOG V3 is a highly efficient data logger for validating and testing development vehicle fleets.     As of now, IPETRONIK provides the download of the IPEmotion Release 2015 R2 of their data acquisition software. The company extends the offline data analysis operation with the new version, which was introduced in IPEmotion 2015 R1. New functions are among others the triggered performance of operation sequences, new statistic operations for an easy calculation of common statistic values such as min, max, average value, RMS etc. and an operation for searching events, which are able to perform analyses event-oriented.

    The analysis tool box provides a new 3D instrument, in which the user can upload CAD models to embed the data analysis graphically in the model as well.     To be able to respond rapidly on changing tasks in measurement technology, IPETRONIK supports the use of TEDS sensors (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) with a Lemo-2B-version of their multifunctional module Sx-STG. This under IEEE-1451.4 defined plug & measure standard contains among others information about the identification number of the sensor, the calibration and the supplier. It enables the flexible, faultless adjustment of the module on new sensor parameters. The Sx-STG detects e.g. IEEE-1451.4 Class 2 sensors (multi-wire connections, e.g. as bridge sensors) automatically when putting on and reads the sensor-specific data via the TEDS connection. It is a benefit for the user, that he does not have to enter the scaling data manually.     With the M-LOG V3 the IPETRONIK division IPEmeasure offers the third generation of its proven data loggers with particularly high measurement requirements in the mobile data acquisition. The new version is characterized by maximum power resources for online-offsetting and data storage during stationary and mobile tests. It is based on the newest generation of the Intel Atom E620T processor and with 1024 Megabyte main memory (RAM) it provides a significant increase in performance, notably in complex applications when detailed configurations are used.     IPEmeasure presents M-UPS2, a new advanced version of IPETRONIK's intelligent interruption-free power supply module. M-UPS2 serves as reliable power buffer for car testing DAQ systems. Voltage drops and breakdowns, e.g. at startup and cold start testing, are bridged safely. This power supply module guarantees reliable and consistent data acquisition - even under extreme environmental conditions such as during summer and winter testing.

    IPETRONIK extends its configuration and data acquisition software IPEmotion by two new PlugIns for serial data communication: the universal SERIAL PlugIn and the SCALES PlugIn.

    Using the SERIAL PlugIn, devices with RS232, RS485 or RS422 interfaces can be linked to IPEmotion via Dynamic Link Library (DLL). This way, users can easily integrate any serial device into their measuring applications by setting up a device-specific DLL with interface commands. External developers do not have to program an entire PlugIn, but can implement their device-specific connection in their DLL, conveniently. DLLs exist for Fluke Norma 3000 Power Analyzer and for Metrix MX556 multimeter.     IPETRONIK upgrades the second generation of its proven M-Series by adding the new M-SENS2 a 4-channel analog input device with direct CAN (Controller Area Network) bus output. The new module is compatible with the previous M-SENS and provides the same type and number of measurement ranges. By adding a higher internal sample rate and the newly designed 500 Hz hardware filter it now supports higher input frequencies.

    M-SENS2 covers twelve unipolar and twelve bipolar voltage measurement ranges from ±0.1 V to ±100 V.     IPETRONIK upgrades the second generation of its M-Series CAN modules by adding M-THERMO2, an 8-channel temperature measurement device connectable to K-Type Thermocouples (NiCr/NiAl). The redesigned M2-Series enclosure uses reduced dimensions of 106 mm x 30 mm x 50 mm.

    IPETRONIK, the world's leading manufacturer of mobile measuring technology in the automobile industry, is one of the few companies in Europe to be accredited by the Federal Motor Transport Authority as a test laboratory for the determination of R134a leakage rates. Accreditation was granted on 20.12.2007 and is valid until December 2012. It means that the company is entitled to carry out leakage measurements in accordance with Directive 2006/40/EC including Regulation 706/2007 on motor vehicle air-conditioning systems and their components.

    Determining the total leakage has become necessary under the new EG Directive 2006/40/EC. This requires, for vehicles with air-conditioning systems which contain as refrigerants a fluorinated greenhouse gas such as R134a with a global warming potential (GWP) over 150, a type approval as regards emissions from their air-conditioning systems. SIM-STG has been developed based on the experience of the well proven SIM-DMS. At similar package dimensions the SIM-STG combines alternatively four selectable measurement signals per input: real differential voltage, ICP (Integrated Circuit Piezoelectric) sensors, analog signals up to ±50 V and strain gauge sensors for measurement of 1/4, 1/2 and full bridges.     IPETRONIK, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of measurement technology for the automotive industry, has partnered with the Swiss company STS Sensor Technik Sirnach AG, a specialist for pressure sensors of the highest grade, to develop the “CANpressure” intelligent measurement module. The highly compact CANpressure device combines a pressure sensor with all the functionality offered by IPETRONIK’s familiar range of CAN-bus measurement modules. For the first time, the new pressure sensor module now makes it possible to process pressure data directly within the measurement chain without having to take a detour via a voltage input.

    The sensor module, which is housed in a stainless steel enclosure with dimensions of just 77 mm X 24 mm (L x Ø) and is protected to a rating of IP68, features a piezoresistive pressure measurement cell.
