COMgate provides full Access Point operation

Selecting TESTdrive version V03.23.01 and the COMgate version V01.06 the user benefits from Access Point features including DHCP server.

Besides the existing data transfer via network node (GSM/GPRS/EDGE/3G) and WiFi access point (WiFi 802.11 a/b/g) COMgate now supports direct WiFi connection from the logger system to a PC or notebook. COMgate works as independent Access Point and handles all necessary connecting parameters by its integrated DHCP server.

The following features are supported without cable connection
resp. without using an USB stick:

• Download configuration and data files from the logger
• Executing a test measurement
• Modification of the system configuration and upload the updated files to the logger

COMgate now supports also:

• Communication protocol CiscoVPN which provides a high security VPN tunnel
• Selecting the WiFi channels to use the 5 GHz band (WiFi 802.11 a) which offers a higher data transfer quality (signal strength and coverage).
