M-VIEWgraph
New tight graphics display

The new graphics display M-VIEWgraph will be available in autumn. Besides the alphanumeric M-VIEWfleet we then provide a further display for be used with the new logger generation. The 7'' color TFT displays signals as curve or bargraph. The display settings for visualization of the measurement signals is made in the system configuration via IPEconf. 12 illuminated function buttons, 4 status / trigger LEDs and accessible USB ports provide extensive control and monitoring functions for test drives.

CANpressure
Revolution in automotive pressure measurement

The new pressure sensor, presented at the Testing Expo 2007 for the first time, meets the demands from automotive measurement applications. The whole sensor including the signal amplifier unit and the CAN controller comes in a minimized cylinder tube (dimensions 77 mm x 24 mm (L x Ø) and features a piezo-resistive pressure measurement cell. Sensor modules are offered for measuring absolute pressure as well as relative pressure in the range from 200 mbar up to 1000 bar. Throughout the entire operating temperature range from –40 °C to +125 °C, the senors perform linearized, temperature- compensated and calibrated measurement at an accuracy of significantly better than 0.5 % (FS). The measurement data is transmitted via the CAN 2.0B bus, which is completely galvanically isolated, with a maximum sampling rate of 2 kHz. One important advantage is the possibility of performing synchronized measurements within the system, because IPETRONIK's own CAN bus synchronization can also be activated for CANpressure. For further processing and evaluation of the data, the devices have been prepared with standard software interfaces to communicate with IPETRONIIK's configuration tool as well as with INCA (ETAS), DIAdem (NI) and other commonly used software packages.

M-LOG goes Multimedia
Video and Audio Sequences

Now M-LOG also provides input and output of Audio and Video streams. A webcam is connected to the M-LOG via USB interface. Data stream recording is controlled by free selectable trigger functions. This means, besides digital and analog signals, also calculated values can be used as a trigger event. Data streams are numbered consecutively to enable clear assignment of the multimedia data to measurement values with the analyzing tool. The audio input may record the signal from a microphone in order to give comments to a test drive.

M-LOG for LINUX

The new data logger platform for self-contained measurement applications offers maximum flexibility. Besides the modular expandability of the hardware, M-LOG can be operated with the 32bit RTOS and the IPETRONIK software application or alternatively under the open source OS LINUX with an user specific software. The LINUX OS supports user programming for maximum performance and individual data acquisition. As LINUX is distributed under GPL (General Public License) anyone can get the source code for free. For more information about applications and upgrades for M-LOG please refer to our M-LOG Flyer (PDF 588 kB) which you can download from here.

M-THERMO and µ-THERMO revision
Higher accuracy at lower power consumption

All modules delivered with the hardware version 4.80 and the firmware version 3.20 will have double accuracy compared to previous modules. Also the drift within the whole ambient temperature range was reduced to approx. 70 %. Besides this, the revised modules will only need 55 % of the original power consumption. This means more flexibility for sytems with long cable distances. The power consumption of any previous module can be reduced by a service update, e.g. a regular IPETRONIK calibration. In this case, no additional costs are charged for this update.

CANdia2
New Driver for DIAdem

Now, CANdia2 the new driver for DIAdem is available. CANdia2 has been developed based on the existing driver CANdia, which supports data acquisition with IPETRONIK CAN modules. Configuration and measurement is directly operated from the surface of DIAdem (requires DIAdem version 8.1 or higher). The integrated hardware clock enables a real synchronized data acquisiton in the Free Running Mode. The CANdia-Tools, which provides commands and variables for programming of automatic measurement tasks, are optionally available. This offers an access to IPETRONIK CAN modules via autosequences of DIAdem. CANdia2 already supports the specific bridge functions of the new module SIM-STG and therefore offering a wide range of strain gage applications.
